No Joy in Mudville
Jul. 8th, 2007 08:50 amThe Mud Cup happened on Friday - this is the biannual intramural soccer game at work, played between the two Departments.
The other team managed to recruit a bunch of high schoolers who ran circles around us aging postdocs. We were also vastly outnumbered, with far fewer substitutes to swap in and out. So, sadly, we lost. I am somehow not nearly as sore as I expected to be -- clearly, I should have exerted myself more. Just as well, it would have been really uncomfortable traveling out here to Boston had I been more beat up.
